if ever

if ever i

somehow could

from shadow

like a flare

rise the way

i would

as luminescence

unto air

your love it

e'er sustains

your hands just

pick me up

when not much

else remains

to fill this

empty cup

gather me between

the waves

you're the one who

always saves

the sun is just an

afterthought

to eyes that find this

living fraught

with existential

vagrancy

kiss us then and

pat the head

for rare potential

poesie

and good news here

to spread

if ever there were such

a time

amid the blight unfurling

flags

when somehow comprehension

of the signs it

lags

and spirit is as e'er

still swirling

like nascent ones

that should

do so much more

if ever they

for all their whirling

would

the tower

shimmer in a streaming veil, led by naught but heart, unto far tower she sets sail, from former shades depart, huddle then within a cloak, at sea the winds are cruel, the torrents and the tired yoke, as folk we're made but fools, she'd heard a story long before, when starlight filled her eyes, of dark designs and iron doors, and birdless, crimson skies, recurrent visions as a child, the spirit of beatitude, the sky as some insipid smile, still scurvy or malaise imbued, wayfaring happens deep within, as response unto call, these feast or famine days we're in, the emptiness of halls, in houses built upon ideal, with all now out at sea, searching for a tower that's real, or may yet come to be...

leaf

fallen unto me

like a leaf

autumnal reverie

needs belief

took a moon beam

far from here

to you it seems

it's ever clear

wasted in the frames

alive only with you

it never feels the same

as one become of two

a treasure in the chest

it's all that matters

as values are assessed

man's focus scattered

we are of the heart

forever coming free

it's only now the start

a ship unto the sea

from dross we will depart

a leaf fell at my feet

i took her in my hand

with open mind i greet

the chance to understand

you

turning

in torrid turns we mark these days, the frenzied fits we feel, the mythic moments ever stay, forever keep it real, took a turn from there and then, like sun unto the sky, hidden in some where and when, forever asking why, a song of stars escapes your lips, as i bring to you sunrise, these lives so far from what one scripts, each day a new surprise, a bird alights on piling fair, i'm lost in want of you, and time is somehow smiling there, for hours they are too few, turning later towards the sun, for want of endless stars, you taught me how to be someone, whose love transcends the scars, but turning in the deep of night, as if invoked with wanting words, above the street and all its lights, a single, turning bird...
