dark corners

space says unto earth

don't you dare come close

whatever loving's worth

we will not make the most

astral or corporal form

if we don't ever speak

and rise above the tired norm

dark corners are all that we shall keep

i took you at the setting sun

you came a song of tears

peace is only come undone

when we are ruled by fear

in quiet transit unto grace

for all you have within

your heart is more than empty space

in time you will again begin

to feel like you've some meaning here

despite the tired times

climb up unto a headspace clear

somewhere a tocsin chimes

ideas are as e'er at odds

and timing harder still

we rise above the crimson mobs

to warm this vacant chill

solemnity is chosen free

even when the world seems cold

if language is soliloquy

then let that tongue be bold

the wheel

a shoulder to the wheel

as e'er

for want of something real

like air

i came to you, your lips were dry

i brought the sea

eternal grasping at the sky

for want of you and me

from towers looking down at earth

at vast and textured space

our pain does not define our worth

we measure it in grace

with oils i bathe the skin you use

from head unto your feet

the kingdom is but ours to lose

if we refuse to meet

at reverent, giving, common ground

only known to you and me

it is there that our elation's found

as union comes to be

in servitude to some ideal

like stardust after dreams

we mark long hours at the wheel

to learn what substance means

come

come unto the source

at last

come free of all those stones

the past

like ripples in some

nonexistent pool

for heart one learns

to see oneself the fool

and bleed a different shade

come of heart and head

in circles we conspire

to now transcend instead

i am awakened here

for all the things we hide

and slowly bring to light

our treasure is inside

communion at the stone

that becomes as altar

and this reverence

shall never falter

amid the storm

the pestilence that people pose

in masks disguised as smiles

we have no need of those

having come

at long last

unto a giving realm

so deep and vast
